California!
Wow, I haven't posted here in a while!
Well, I love my job! It's really working out well so far. Smart people, interesting projects... tasks that go beyond just coding all day.
And at the moment, I've been put on a project out in southern California for 2 months. It came as quite a surprise... one day I found out about the possibility of it, and the next day I found I was leaving, and then the next day I was on a plane for CA. But, if you have to be somewhere for 2 months expenses paid, Orange County is a pretty nice place to be :) So, that's been my life for the last few weeks. Luckily I can come back to NH on weekends, so I have been doing that.
I've also been working on a new version of my Cotiro program. Which, for those who don't know, is a college time and room scheduling system using AI algorithms. The first version, 0.1, was a project I did during college. I have a list of features I want to add in order to make it "production ready", and I'll release a .1 increment release for each feature I implement. I'm working towards 0.2 right now, the first improvement since I did the project in college. I find the system really interesting, so I'm trying to keep working on it in my spare time (which I don't have much of lately other than plane rides!).
I still want to move this blog towards being less journal-ish and more editorial-ish, but we'll see if I ever acutally do that... I've been saying this for a long time!
In the meantime, post messages in my message board! I want to see more conversation going on there! Keep in touch with me while I am out in California :)
