  • "Fozzie" started life as a Compaq Presario 5900Z, but after years of upgrades, now shares little with that original computer.  My goal with Fozzie is to continually perform 2-3 upgrades per year on this computer, so that it never becomes too outdated, and is always relatively close to top-of-the-line.  As my primary desktop, Fozzie must perform a wide range of tasks -- software development, web browsing, word processing, lots of multimedia, and even gaming now and then.  I feel that Fozzie's hardware profile reflects these versatile needs.  There are no plans to replace Fozzie in the near future -- I will simply continue to upgrade parts over time.
  • This computer was originally obtained December 22, 1999.
  • This computer underwent a major upgrade on May 28, 2004.  Images and commentary on this can be found here.
  • Fozzie was retired on July 23, 2009, at which time Clementine became the primary computer for both my wife and myself.
